Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Planet-9: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 3Original post

I had a chirp coming from the seat belt plastic shroud attached to the pillar. My dealer took it apart, found something loose and fixed it.

POST 5Original post

I had that too. It is the brass looking bolt that holds the rear quarter window tight. It will loosen up on occasion. I have had to tighten it twice now. Take off the plastic cover over the seat belt and slide it out of the way. Get a 13mm open ended wrench and tighten that bolt a bit. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. Just get give it a couple yanks and go for a ride. It should be fixed.

POST 6Original post

Can that bolt be removed to put some loctite (Permatex Loctite Threadlocker) on it and then reinstalled to prevent it from loosening without anything falling apart when it's removed?

POST 7Original post

Mine has the chirp too and drives me nuts. I'm going home tonight to fix this. :thanks:
