Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
They already replaced the control module for the seat with no change whatsoever.
Leading evidence: 'Replace whatsoever' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace control module' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 1 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
At first I thought I needed to unlock first, as stored memory seems to reset both mirrors to the key, but NOT the seats most of the time, but sometimes does.

Suggestion
If I touch and hold button #1 it moves to the correct location so it obviously recognized the memory setting from my remote, but choose not to move the seat.

This also happens to my wife occassionally when using her key.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Have only had the car a few weeks but have noticed that sometimes when I unlock the car with my remote, after my wife used it, the seat does not move back to the memory position for my key. If I touch and hold button #1 it moves to the correct location so it obviously recognized the memory setting from my remote, but choose not to move the seat. This also happens to my wife occassionally when using her key. But it is sporatic. Works correctly about 25% of the time. Anyone else with power seats notice this? Am I doing something wrong?
Hi, it seems to be happening to me also but in a slightly different manner. I do have the 3 memories set up in different positions for different driving styles (city more laid back, aggressive and aggressive with a bit more legroom, 6'3" so shoe soles make a difference for me), sometimes when opening the car it would go back to memory position 1 but not fully. It might forget a couple of settings like the seat height or the side position though it would do the lengthwise position and the backrest inclination!!!!!! This sometimes happens also when pressing directly the memory recall switch. Usually pressing a second time will fix the problem, but yes it's annoying.....
Did you ask the dealer about it or did you think it would likely work fine at the time you show it to them? BTW, suddenly this week it seems to be working fine. Come to think about it last week when I was having the problem the mirrors would go to the correct position even if the seat did not.
I also am having issues with the keys and the adaptive seat position(s). Any solutions or patterns emerging?
At first I thought I needed to unlock first, as stored memory seems to reset both mirrors to the key, but NOT the seats most of the time, but sometimes does. My wife and I trade off cars, and both of us note that the key pairing to seat position often does not work. Fine for her, but for me, getting in the CS with the seat in her forward position is a yoga move. Everything else works fine, and I am almost afraid to have a dealer work on it out of fear it might result in another problem since its a very minor deal for me overall.
Humm?
I gave-up on the memory feature. It inevitably get's it about 80% right, and is a good starting point when switching between my wife and I. I literally can not get in the car with her settings. The dealer told me that it will never go all the way to the end of its range, where you have to fiddle with the height and horizontal to get the most leg room. It gets the mirrors right, and for me that alone is worth it.
Anyone get this issue resolved, or do we just give up? I am taking my car in to the dealer next week and was wondering if I should start on this again. Anyone new have this problem?
Mine used to have these problems. I have the no 1 position set to all the way back, so when I unlock it, it goes all the way back, then when I am in the car I hit #2 or #3 and it goes to one of these settings. It seems to have settled down, and now works as it should. Perhaps it needs to "learn". I could never learn what I did to "teach" it.
I use mine the same way, but for some reason, M1 gets 'forgotten' from time to time. I cannot seem to correlate it with anything. At first it seemed like it happened when the car would sit for a week or so, so I thought maybe the seat memory had a particularly finicky voltage threshold, but most recently it happened during a time trail weekend when I was driving almost continuously, so I am now at a loss. It's not that much of an issue for me to make a special trip to the dealer for it.
I spoke to service manager at the dealership about this issue. He thinks it may be related to the proximity sensors under the seat. They already replaced the control module for the seat with no change whatsoever. All in all it is a great feature when it works so I really would like it to work everytime. Also, would like it resolved while the car is still under warranty. I'm taking the car to the dealer next week. I'll let you know if it gets resolved.
