Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

If the car is only a year or so old I'd be tempted to call Porsche Assistance and get them to come out and get it started plus check there are no other obvious issues.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, A good friend of mine passed away last year and her then, nearly brand new, Panamera GTS has sat on her driveway for just under a year without being moved or cared for. Her death stunned the family and I think the car was left to stand as moving it on was seen as too painful for the family. The family would like it to be sold now so I’ve offered to help them get it going again. I have no experience of Porsche so I’d like to ask for your help before I do anything that could potentially damage the car. I have a 1000amp booster pack that is rated for large petrol engines and I’ve seen from Google searches where to attach the pack in the engine bay. Is there anything else I need to know or do before attaching a powerful booster pack to the car? Do you think that after a year stationary with a flat battery the car will be drivable? Am I to expect a dashboard full of warning lights? Thanks all for your help, it’s much appreciated.

Sorry to hear of your loss. If the car is only a year or so old I'd be tempted to call Porsche Assistance and get them to come out and get it started plus check there are no other obvious issues.
