Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I recently hardwired a CTEK (same as Tequipment model) battery charger/maintainer to my 05 997 battery so it wouldn’t die as the car sat. I had to remove the cable from the terminals to hook it up and now I have a “PSM failure” and “PASM failure” on the car, which I read could be reset by driving the car and turning the wheel per the owner’s manual. However the car won’t start, it turns over but won’t run (like it’s not getting fuel), do you know what this problem is and how is it fixed? I believe I correctly cycled the locks (the car sat for 3 weeks) but it still won't run. Thanks

POST 2Original post

Sounds like the battery died before you got back to it.

POST 3Original post

Sorry. The battery is 100% charged, just tried cycling the locks again to clear the immobilizer, no go. It turns but dosen't run...everything else electrical works. Any chance the ECU needs to be reset? Or perhaps a fuse relay in the Current Distributer attached to the battery ? I could really use some help.

POST 4Original post

Sorry about that. I missed that it was turning over. At this point it sounds like a fuel pump issue and I'm not familiar enough with that to be helpful. Hopefully someone else on here is. Good luck.
