It's been a good week for Perf marque...I renewed my 996 insurance with them on wednesday even after getting 8 quotes... The track day thing is a nightmare...I was with Nor Union,through PF a few years ago with pcgb trackdays included. At renewal last year same quote but no trackdays.?! This year Nu renewal came in without trackdays at £800 higher on the year.Circumstances unchanged. Perf Marque have now switched me to Royal Sun WITH track days for slightly less than last years Nor Union quote WITHOUT.... I think these companies are happier to include PCGB trackdays as they know Steve Kevlin runs them well & keeps things reasonably under control.However it only takes a few claims in any given year for the insurer to shy away from any form of trackday.

Renewing my insurance - and wanting Track Days included: IAM Select did the decent thing and just said - "sorry, sir" we can't cover you for that. They were cheap though! A*******n E*****s said they could cover me and sold me a policy. I call back with the Track Day dates and they have to admit that they weren't covered and they then did the decent thing and cancelled the insurance renewal no questions asked...but only after wasting my time for half an hour! What would have happened if I hadn't called back the same day! Blighters. I accept it was an honest mistake but....grrrr. So I finally call Performance Marque who sold me a policy. Cheaper than AE above and covers all PCGB track days F.O.C. At least there was a happy ending.
