Beautiful and well thought out build. I think you will find the 991 community here is nowhere near as vibrant as the 981 following. I just picked up a 2013 991 c2 and am loving every minute of it. Had money been no object I would have gone c4s. As far as critiques, I love the 14 way seats. I use one of the memory settings as an ingress/egress setting and the other as a drive position, but I am 6'3''. I realize they are a few pounds heavier but I am not accustomed to maual fore/aft adjustment of my seats anymore : )Congrats on the new car.
The only things I notice are that you went with the standard seats, which I guess means you can't get ventilation? Entry and Drive, I think most people would agree, should be free on a $100k+ car. And, for the
PDK
, I guess it depends how you plan on driving, but I (and every car reviewer) hate the steering wheel buttons. I made sure to get a 991 with the paddles. Overall, you'll love the car. It's wonderful.
thank you for the comments...had to save money somewhere..would have opted the seats..but where do you stop..and thought once the seat is set, its done..wife will ocassionally use the car...probably when ive had one to many drinks!!
re the seats see above
i agree on the paddle shift and also hate the buttons, but stupidly porsche dont offer the carbon steering wheel with paddles..heat ventilation would be great for the 2 hot days we get here in the UK..and re the entry drive i personally think its only a great option if you get it with the memory seats so it adjusts to the setting for the key being used ..
And remember what we guys pay in uk pounds you lucky guys pay in dollars almost.

I have the
pdk
with buttons because I needed a heated steering wheel. To be honest the
pdk
sport+ is so good I rarely shift myself, sad I know but it is what it is. I also lamented the paddles turning with the wheel as I wanted to go from 1 to second mid turn. They should be fixed to the column imho.
6500 miles and the 991 is easily the best sounding & driving car I've ever owned. The fit and finish, build quality, just everything on my car is excellent. No rattles, squeaks, or weird noises so far. I drove a 997 cabriolet and the road noise, rattles, etc just made it difficult to use as an every day car in both city and highway driving..the 991 cab is everything I could have asked for and more. You will adore the car. The cabriolet roof (ceramic panels inbetween the fabric) has amazing insulation and quietness. The best cabriolet roof I've ever seen. Just got done driving her all through winter here, and did our first oil change and a Spring detail and she is just a beast who wants more and more road to devour.
