I had a full set of Pirelli Assimetricos for 12,000 miles, the fronts were worn and replaced them with Michelin Pilot Sport 2's, which are mean to be the best, certainly from what I have read in this forum over the last year or so.

I want to run a pole and see what other people have on their standard 996 C2s, no addtitional info just one line for example:

How are you finding them? I ask because I'm looking for a new set of rears (295/30 R19) and the Contact 2s are priced at £162 a corner, whilst the 3s are priced at £288 a corner.

P-zero Assimms all round(on car when I bought it). They get bad reviews but I like a bit of sideways action in the wet! Haven't managed to spin it yet either!!

+1 for Contis. I get 5k miles on my rears and that is with alignment set to factory spec. I change them just below 3mm though

Pirelli Rosso's. The rears have worn away quickly but have been faultess in all conditions however Goodyear gsd3's next for me when my 18's are painted.
