Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

As I write this I think it might apply to other Spyder variants but I've never seen one in person so I don't know how the electric top is designed. So 987 Spyder owners do you cruise the highway with the back section out? Does the AC keep up? How bout the top do you think this adversely affects it in any way? I read in the manual it's normal for it to stretch and return to form hours later. I feel like the factory back piece is not great for rear vision but it's probably advisable for pop up rain to keep it on. Anyhow what say you fellow members?

POST 2Original post

Boris - we usually drive with the top down or just the rear window out. The A/C is plenty strong enough to cool the interior with the back window out, especially if you keep the wind draft barrier in place. For that matter it is also comfortable with the A/C on and the top not in evidence at all. I've never noticed any stretch or deformity with the top either.

POST 3Original post

yep, usually have the rear window piece out most of the time and just use the sunshade. AC keeps up fine too. When the car Is away more in the winter time I keep both pieces on to help them keep their shape.
