Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
Yep, 120dB was running fabspeed supercup decats & I reverted to Oettle mufflers, the fabspeed muffler bypass was way too loud.
Leading evidence: 'Run fabspeed supercup decats & i reverted' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run fabspeed supercup decats & i reverted' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Right guys i have a 3.4 C2 and Im looking for a little more power so im looking at getting a revo remap. But before i do that i wanted to play around with the exhaust system to get the most from the remap so i have recently got hold of some equal length manifolds.
Now the question is:
1- Do i also go for cat bypass pipes and sport mufflers (something like Milltek)
2- Do i do the above but do the bypass mod on my standard mufflers
Would there be any difference in power between a sport muffler and standard muffler? :dont know:
Hi,
For a bit more grunt go for:
de-cat pipes - check out fabspeed.com
sport muffler - fabspeed or Oettle
Induction kit - K&N etc
and get a live remap rather than an off the shelf like Revo etc to get the best out of your car, done on a rolling road, costs more but alot better.
Being realistic expect a 5-10% power increase.
Or go down the Supercharger route, search vividracing.com
Noise wise, mine was about 120db so no track days
Cheers
Brumbrum when you say yours was about 120db i take it you had decats and sport mufflers?
120db is a lot
Im really into my trackdays at the mo so i think i'll have to have a re-think.
Can you suggest any tuning companies that could do a live map on my car?
Yep, 120dB was running fabspeed supercup decats & I reverted to Oettle mufflers, the fabspeed muffler bypass was way too loud.
Most tracks have a max of 105dB limit in the UK on a noisy day.
Performance wise: I would seriously consider going down the SC route, tt performance & something abit different, 150hp increase, so pretty good value.
Oettle mufflers are basically standard mufflers with the PSE bypass pipe welded on, so it's like a PSE always on.
Exhaust wise: I just posted this up earlier:
Standard Car: 99 dB
X51 Car: 102 dB
+ PSE: 99 dB with PSE Off
+ PSE: 108 dB with PSE On
Oettle muffler + Fabspeed decat: 115-120dB
Systems like RSR's, Kresseig etc are going to be abit higher than the PSE, as you can see your going to struggle noise wise with anything other than standard!.
