This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I asked my dealer for my order # and received an email back that the Porsche computers are down until Jan 2nd. Is this true? Anyone else at their dealership today? Can you check?
Thanks!
K-Man, I kinda quit trying to verify order status through dealer as it usually takes him 4-5 days to get back to me, so I call about every other Monday and hope for the best....
Yep it is a PAIN to check status. My salesman doesn't have authority. The manager is a Mercedes salesman who doesn't seem to be that interested in answering questions about $70,000 Porsches and doesn't visit the Porsche store very often. It feels like a real bother to ask them how soon I'm going to give them a wad of my cash. If Porsche is smart, as I've said before, they could give buyers access to their order progress and make a whole lot of friends.
I had a friend that ordered a very tricked-out Mini Cooper S, and the dealer sets it up for you to get onto a site with your order number and you can see for yourself how the car is progressing. They will even sned you an e-mail alert telling you your car has passed into the next step of the manufacturing process... they make it into kind of a game... Porsche should make a note...
Brad
I could even track my lowly GMC c3 as it left the factory on a train to come to me. I didn't realize that trains were so slow until then. But at least I felt somewhat in the know. Some of Porsche's sales folks don't understand the meaning of PROACTIVE.
SF, I think you have said it best. Now if Porsche would listen to their buyers.... But maybe they don't have to as they do run a very profitable automobile business that we all WANT to have a part of...
I know that I would enjoy it very much if I were able to track my car.
Many German factories close for 7-10d around the Christmas and New Year holiday. It's very possible that the computers aren't being updated because the plant is closed.
DaveC,
I can understand status not updating, and I know PCNA offices are closed until Jan 3rd, BUT there is a difference between not being updated and DOWN. I just wanted to get my order #, something my dealership salesperson should be able to do either by looking at the computer or the paperwork in the hard copy file, I just can't seem to locate my order # anywhere. Man where is Woodhouse when you need him? /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/help.gif
Well if anyone has access to a dealer's computer system today let me know and I'll give you my order # to track for me. I found the order # on some paperwork I had and I tried calling my dealership back but they haven't returned my call yet (not one of their strong points). Anyway, if anyone out there has the ability to track given the order number PM me and I'll give you the order # to run down.
Thanks!
And if yours has left for the US let us know. I still cannot find out which port serves NM. Apparently it varies depending on the cost to truck them????

Thanks to Mitch at Woodhouse I found out that my car is prepped at the port in Finland waiting to be loaded onto a vessel. We'll check next week and see if it shows up as on vessel or not.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">From our vin numbers I must be just in line in front of you then. No fair bribing the dockworkers to jump the queue. Of course my boat may be different than yours anyway. I do know that it will not be going to a New Mexico 'port'. [/quote]
