Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I don't know if it does anything but when the windows are up and you hit up again it might reset where the position is?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My car is now 6 months old, but the 'one touch' electric windows have never really worked properly. I normally have to hold the button for the duration while windows go up or down. Very occasionally the passenger side will go down with one press , but never back up. Anyone else had this problem ? Guess I'll have to get back to the dealer shortly.

POST 2Original post

it's a pressure thing. If you hit it hard and short in interval you should have no problem. I don't know if it does anything but when the windows are up and you hit up again it might reset where the position is? My mercedes was that way, you basically retrain where the point is.

POST 3Original post

This is covered in your owners manual. You must move the window to it's all the way open (or closed) position. Then release the button and press and hold it for several seconds to learn the end position. You must do this for all the way open and all the way closed.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
