Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Use each variation' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use each variation' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Guys, looking for a bit of advice on tools..!
What would be the best torque wrench most suitable for doing the simple things on a 996?? Nothing major engine wise but brakes etc..
Cheers
Torque wrenches come in many guises and various quality but all of them need calibrating on regular basis.
Norbar make just about every
Kind of torque wrench available and they are industrial standard.
One of these will last a lifetime.

Torque wrenches have a range of operation, so one wrench won't cover everything. Realistically, you need two. The torque setting for disk-hub screws is 10Nm, the caliper bolts are 85Nm and the wheel bolts are 130Nm. One torque wrench won't have a wide enough range to cover all 3.
Take a look at the (don't laugh) Halfors Professional range. These are excellent tools, mostly with a lifetime warranty. (Even Snap-On don't offer that any more).
My Halfords covers almost everything, from caliper bolts to steering wheels to wheel nuts, only the oil pan needs a smaller range so if you're going to do your own oil changes you might need something smaller... :thumb:
+1 for the Halfords Pro range. I have all 3 and they cover nearly all the bases. Also has a lifetime warranty. I took 1 back after 4 years as the lock at the base was sticking - I just wanted them to have a look at it but they gave me a new one! Various mags have tested them and they have rated highly for accuracy and durability.
