I have just put some Rossos on the back of mine and personally find them much better that the Contis they replaced.

Recently replaced MSPs with Contis all round. Seemed much smoother and quieter - of course that might just be new tyre vs old tyre? Was thinking about PZero Rossos but was put off by some comments on here about them being noisy.

Michelin Pilot Sport 2s are generally considered the best tyre for the Porsche 996. However, they're also the most expensive. Bridgestone are N rated, but are generally considered to be the worst for performance and noise especially. Continental and Pirelli's are typically seen in between - so if you're concerned about wet performance, I'd probably go for the MPS2s. However, if your tread was below 3mm, then that would explain the poor wet performance anyway. Cheers.

tyre choise Cheers, Ive ran with MPS2 on my 330 Bmw diesel. This car has been re-mapped to 285bhp and has 430lbft torque and I have to say they coped very well. Its still good to hear what others are running before I purchase. Cheers...P

Just ordered a pair of 265/35/Z18 Continental Sport Contact 2 from Kwik Fit for £177 each. With the obligatory valve and balance the cost comes to £375 for the pair, fitted.
