Sorry buddy, I lost this alert, I do think it was my power steering pump, but I just opened it and closed it back and it seems fine, but I am in the middle of replacing the lines from the AOS as those melted!!!!

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

What ended up being the source of your oil leak? I'm currently dealing with a similar leak (oil weeping from multiple areas around the tandem pump when running), and I'm wondering if it's the o-ring or something else. Went from zero leaks to losing over a quart an hour.

Sorry buddy, I lost this alert, I do think it was my power steering pump, but I just opened it and closed it back and it seems fine, but I am in the middle of replacing the lines from the AOS as those melted!!!! I’ll let you know, direct message me if you‘d like.

POST 4Original post

Mine also ended up being unrelated to the tandem pump (oil just happened to be accumulating on it from above). My aftermarket AOS was causing too much pressure in the crankcase, which caused the little plastic camshaft plug to pop out. When I was able to get the car up in the air, it was obvious the oil leak was coming from this hole at the end of the camshaft housing. After replacing the AOS with an OEM part and having the plug reinstalled, I've had no issues.
