I just replaced my cassette holder with a storage bin ($55) which I'm quite happy with.

I'm ditching my cassette storage rack for a storage bin, but could always use more storage - doesn't exactly have the "caverous interior" that the sales literature mentions!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
24 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I finalized the deal last night for the 01 Porsche with 14k miles. I did not do the Porsche PPI inspection since the car is still under warranty. The car is being purchased from an exotic & reputable dealership. They are giving me 1 month to check it out at dealer & body shops for any damage, which they will take back. Now i have my 95 M3 & my 01 Porsche (i backed out on the 03 M3 deal since i already have a 95 M3).
i will post pictures later. The car drives so nice. I hope i am making the right decision with the Porsche. I was talking to some people last night, & they said Porsche is for loosers, but i think there was some jealousy there.
i don't see any love for my , no one responded to my posting. this is not good. i thought i was gonna be welcomed here & things like enjoy it. you made a good decision, but 0 posting in 2 hours.
so here is a reply to myself. go enjoy it. life is short.

the yellowbmr man,
but now the owner of a porsche.
I just got my car too, it's a great feeling. Espically since i've been driving a 1990 735 for the last 6 years.
I hope you enjoy it, I still wake up every morning and forget that I have it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />
Hey Bruce, congrats on your new "ride!" I know you don't have pics yet (you're forgiven), but can you describe it to us??? <img border="0" alt="[jumper]" title="" src="graemlins/jumper.gif" />
BTW, weekends are very light for folks on the Forum...especially when the weather is good.
Where are you located? Didn't see any location on your profile or posts??
You have 24hours after you pick it up to send us pics!!!

I don't post often, but this is a great forum and I want you to feel welcomed. I have had my '02 C4S for a year now and I also have a '00 Boxter. Both cars are true Porsches, distinctively different, and I love them both. The C4S is exhilarating every time I drive it, in my view a true luxury sports car. The low end torque and long power curve is amazing, especially when compared to my first 911 in 1972. You picked a fine car to enjoy the fun of driving and I assume you have a radar detector!

pictures are here. Since i was at the dealer, i took some pics of the other cars they had. The Porsche drives so nice & is a head turner. I drove it from newport to Mission viejo & lots of heads were turning. I like to tint the car, then add the switch to auto roll the windows when you arm the car. that is what have in mind so far.

Welcome. I am just as new as you on this site. I have been driving mine for about a month. It is a fun car. Head turning is a given.
This site is slower than BMW forums, but people are just as friendly and helpful. I have gotten great advice and met great people.
Keep posting.

Congrats. You need to post pics before you can expect any real love...

Very nice. I think the aero kit looks especially nice on a black car.
I do have one suggestion, and that is <a href="http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=P&Product_Code=99663104401and99663104 301&Category_Code=POTE996EX" target="_blank">clear side markers</a>.

Sweet ride!! Best of luck! I agree with ScottW, clear marker lights, but I see you already got them. One other small ticket item, if you don't smoke, is to swap out the ashtray with the 'non-smoker' option. Puts a tray that's perfect for cell phones where the ashtray goes. You'll be gald you we went with the P-car and not the 355.
Congrats - I've had my Midnight Blue 01 C2 for a week now - it is amazing how much attention it generates from the same people who didn't notice my black 85 944. Driving is a whole new pleasure now.
01 C4 Cab NYC - do you by chance have a picture of the "non-smoker option"? I assume it is a dealer part? I'm ditching my cassette storage rack for a storage bin, but could always use more storage - doesn't exactly have the "caverous interior" that the sales literature mentions!

Just got back from a 2 day driver education event at Sebring and I really need to wash my car with all the tire rubber marks all over. But, it was in the 90 degree range and I need to recover. I like your taste. I have an 01 996 C4 in speed yellow with the factory aero kit. Some more upgrade options: a clear bra like Stoneguard or InvincaShield; H&R springs; B&M Short shifter. Congrats and enjoy!

Ed996,
Don't have a pic of mine, but DonW..from Cape Cod has a pic of his....

It is a dealer part. Got mine a Suncoast Porsche, around $25, took 5 minutes to install.
yellowbmr - I'm pretty sure he's talking about the ash-tray surround -basically you pull out the ashtry, replace the surround, and you get a little bin rather than an ashtray.
I just replaced my cassette holder with a storage bin ($55) which I'm quite happy with. Not sure of the part number.
