Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi can anybody tell me what the maf looks like, where its located and how to get to it,thanks. Its 1999 boxster2.5

POST 2Original post

This site http://www.cannell.co.uk/Manuals.htm has 986 manuals and the PET parts catalog (version 6). Although the 986 manuals are old, they could still help you out. In any case, the MAF is located somewhere in the intake plenum after the air filter. What yr/model is your Boxster? Regards, paul...

POST 4Original post

I just saw that from your other post about misfires. Once you get PET and install it, look under 986, 1999, Main Group 1 (Engine) and then to item 1-06-106-00 (Air cleaner), the MAF is item #7 on the diagram with its associated part number. Sorry, I can't post those diagrams here because it's copyrighted. Regards, paul...

behind the driver's seat between the air cleaner and the engine. Pictures But beware...most problems people think are MAF are something else.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
