These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

New to me 98 boxster is doing something unexpected. The running lights are flashing on their own accord as if the hazard button has been pushed but it has not. I does it on start up occasionally and after the turn indicator has been used but not always. Both sides and front and rear are flashing. Thank you for your help.

POST 2Original post

Just a wild guess. Do a search on the ignition switch. I have heard that when it begins to fail some really weird things start to happen with the electrical system.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That would make perfect sense since the ignition switch is on it's way out. Thanks for the quick reply. Any suggestions on where to purchase, I am not up to speed on the good parts houses for Porsche. I can tell you anything you want to know about a land rover though.

POST 4Original post

I would check the flasher relay and the hazard switch.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The hazard switch seems to be functioning properly, I can hear the relay/timer clicking. I could not figure out how the timer would get energized unless it was coming from the power source somehow but the ignition switch would 'splain it and it is definitely faulty.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Wow and the part is reasonably priced, awesome!
