Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Guys I have a 996 convertible and had a mouse chew through the roof last winter!!! The insurance have fitted a copy roof which I am not sure if its as good as original from a road noise point and inside fit. Its now been so long I can't remember what the original was like and have no photo's of the interior. Can anyone tell me: are there any roof frame parts visible around the rear piliars or is everything covered by the inner lining? and does the lining fit really snuggly where it meets the driver and pasenger windows? This copy roof gapes when the door is open so you can see into the gap between the liner and the exterior skin and there are two frame parts about a foot long on display at the rear. Should I accept it or not? Cheers Simon

POST 2Original post

Mine has a gap of about an inch between the lining and the door frame/top, but you would have to be looking virtcally up to see anything through the gap. There are two slightly curved frame pices visible running around the back of the small rear side windows. Relax and enjoy.
