Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

This is the optional oem sports suspension used everywhere exept the US, a well engineered package for street and some track(DE) use.
Leading evidence: 'Use everywhere exept the us, a well engineered package' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'ultimate tunable setup' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Recommend bilstein pss9' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suspected cause
Coil over suspension with adjustable sway bars, this is probably the ultimate tunable setup.

Suggestion
If you plan on tracking the car at all (or for that matter do aggressive street driving), I highly recommend the Bilstein PSS9.

Depends on how much you want the car lowered and how you plan to use the car IMO.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

saw your post about lowering the porsche
i wanted to know what is involved in doing so. Does bilestein make coilovers for this car?
is that the way most people here lower their cars. i come from a BMW family, i know all about BMWs.
but when it comes to Porsche, i have no clue yet. i dont' even know any shops in orange county that do this sort of stuff.
the lowering, would not make the ride harsh, would it?
i like the lower look.
please give me some advice.
also how much am i looking into this?
i don't want it too low, just a bit in front & back. i am not gonna slam this thing to the ground.
Thanks for reading into this.

Check out these guys:

Didn't have mine done there because it came lowered when I bought it, but I did visit these guys and they were very sharp and friendly. They gave me a complete tour of the shop and their capabilities. I would recommend going with coilovers. And put the skid plate on if you lower it. It's cheap insurance.
BTW...I had a '97 M3 before the Porsche. Fun car too.

1. RoW M030, approx 20mm F/ 10mmR lowering, includes shocks , springs, sway bars. This is the optional oem sports suspension used everywhere exept the US, a well engineered package for street and some track(DE) use. Not too bad at all for a daily driver. About $2000 installed.
2. H&R sport springs only with your stock shocks will lower the car approx 30mm all around. A good bang for the buck alternative with good looks and improved handling. Shocks may not match well with the sprihgs, probably better off with the entire RoW system, IMHO. About $1000 installed.
3. Coil over suspension with adjustable sway bars, this is probably the ultimate tunable setup. Dramatic lowering and race car like handling. Many choices here, H&R, Bilstein PSS9,...etc.
Costs about $2000+ installation. Great setup for a street/track car, but remember every change in ride height requires another alignment.
Just depends what you want, I have RoW M030 and find it just about perfect for me.
If you plan on tracking the car at all (or for that matter do aggressive street driving), I highly recommend the Bilstein PSS9. I personally have the Techart coilovers on my car becuase the PSS9 was not (is not) released for the Turbo.
It should be available for the C4S. Look to spend $1800-$2500. If you can't find a local dealer, try Gert at Carnewal.com

I've got the H&R Coilover kit too and I am quite happy with it. TireRack had the best price and I had it installed and setup at West End Alignment in Los Angeles.
