1) My drivers side window has one-touch drop and one-touch raise function. My passenger window has one-touch drop but does not have one-touch raise. Been like that ever since I got the car two years ago, and I assumed it was an intentional "feature", perhaps on some obscure safety grounds. Or is it just broken and I've been to thick to realise? What does everyone else's do? 2) I also noticed recently that my rear side windows (which are fixed of course) don't seem very robustly mounted. If you push inwards quite firmly near the top of the glass, just below the rubber, there feels to be quite a bit of spingy give. Is that how they normally are, or should they feel rock solid and not move at all? I was wondering if maybe there is some sealant or glue that has perished and failed. Thanks in advance fellas (Car is a 2004 Targa) ETA - oops, that should be "springy". Not sure what "spingy give" is but I don't think I want any.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

windows Hi, Although I have a carrera 4 and not targa, I should imagine both sides of your Targa should be one touch. Mine are both one touch, never tried to force my rears out thought LOL cant see the point...!
It might be worth re-training the window motor on that side:
Try getting the window past halfway then see if the one touch works.
Thanks all for the replies. I tried both suggestions and no change. So in desperation I actually got the manual out . Manual says "One-touch operation (closing drivers side only)" and then describes it. So it would appear that it is a designed-in feature that the passenger window doesn't have one touch close, at least on my car. The manual I have is not specific to Targa, it covers Carrera and Cabriolet too, and the implication is that this is true for all three models. Not sure what model years my manual covers, maybe this is something that changed in different years. But I'm now curious that some people seem to have full auto both sides but yet my manual says not...
It varies from year to year. My MY2001 TT Coupe is one-touch and comfort closing via remote on both windows and the roof. I know that late model Cabrios are only one-touch on the driver's side. Late Coupes don't seem to have remote closure - only opening. It also has to do with region coding of the alarm module - due to regulations in different countries I guess.
