Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The service rep told me they had already received the update from Porsche and were working on a couple of their own cars, in order to test the installation before offering it to their customers.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi, everyone, Porsche recently issued a navigation update including maps for Chile and Argentina; it is supposed to be compatible with PCM 3.0 and 3.1 (according to the Porsche official website). I recently bought the DVD from Suncoast and took it to my local dealer (there is only one in Chile). The service rep told me they had already received the update from Porsche and were working on a couple of their own cars, in order to test the installation before offering it to their customers. A month later the same rep is telling me they have not been able to install the update on any of their cars and that the software is definitely incompatible with PCM 3.0. Sounds like BS, doesn't it? Is there any workaround? It seems that certain "enabling codes" are necessary to complete the installation, which can only be obtained by the dealer via PIWIS. I wish there was any way to let Porsche AG know about the incompetence of their local dealer! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Rodrigo

POST 2Original post

Hi, I recently got a confirmation from Chile's Porsche dealer that the PCM maps are under evaluation and will be available for some 2013 Porsche models very soon. Hope that this is not BS.
