Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

61 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

That suggests a significant over supply situation meantime, as others have said, that has to result in serious falls in prices - looking like the last few years “turbo bubble” has burst and it’s heading back to normal heavy depreciation on a 911 Turbo….

I know 992 Turbo S have held up amazingly well and almost all used cars are over list but this must be a pi$$ take surely? Ok it's lovely but a £100K premium? Even Tom Hartley is selling a 200 mile car for £60K less than this one. https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/14057473

POST 3Original post

Been on and off market for ever, if you are looking for a similar spec low miles car I may be able to help.

POST 5Original post

Hysterically over priced. Utterly epic car, but if you had a quarter million burning a hole in your pocket surely it's going on something more special.

POST 6Original post

I’m actually baffled why any of these should go for overs at all - according to autotrader there are over 90 992 Turbo S cars on sale vs 63 991 Turbo S cars which is split across 991.1 and 2 variants. With low miles 991.2 cars trading at around the 120k mark and 991.1 in the 80-90k bracket that is an awful lot of depreciation to come for anyone paying a overs premium. Whilst I assume there is still a long wait list it’s still a main production car with more to come so over 90 unsold used examples doesn’t at all suggest a supply / demand imbalance that would justify overs on any of them. I would like a 992 Turbo S as a all weather companion to my F12 but given all the used examples trading at near list or over are pretty nondescript black/black examples unless I could get a factory order there is no justification to paying the asking price premium on a plain spec car and i’m Inclined just to save myself 70k and get a 991.2 instead.

POST 7Original post

From memory there was a new 992 Turbo S on Collecting cars that only made circa list and I think did not sell I am sure they would be a great car but paying £100k over list would only go on my shopping list if Man united came calling...

POST 8Original post

Bonkers money, although it’s a nice spec. Makes we wonder if I should sell my 2000 mile 22 Turbo S….

findtomdotcom said: Bonkers money, although it’s a nice spec. Makes we wonder if I should sell my 2000 mile 22 Turbo S…. No, you should drive it

POST 10Original post

Ha, perfect answer. Although I am actually considering trading it for a Jet Green GT3….

POST 11Original post

Bonkers. Blisteringly fast and competent, but as pointed out, 200+k ought to be going on something more exotic, I’d have thought. Outside the current climate, cooled 911 turbos get brutalised by depreciation. Wait a year. 991 TS were starting in the low 70s two years ago. That is a bargain, and there’s no reason to think the normal depreciation curve (at least) won’t resume, with the economic horizon looking how it is.

I'd say it looks like some OPCs are due to feel some big write-offs soon but was at a flagship OPC and they seemed to have little or no stock. One 21plate turbo s for £187k in good spec didn't seem overly dear? Th car in link has lw option. Very hard to get hold of.

Because they are not buying 911s because 911s aren’t selling (see post on 991-2 gt3 thread)

POST 14Original post

It will be nice to see that lack of liquidity reflected in asking prices especially 991.2 GT3 which looks like £165k for a nice one!

POST 15Original post

Been watching 992 turbo s closely lately. Anything 2020/2021 sub £180k seems to sell pretty quick in the right colour. Very little seems to sell over this price point…

POST 16Original post

I’m astounded at the level they sold at at the peak. They are worth what somebody pays for them, but buying a 992 TTS at > £240 is astonishing.

POST 17Original post

992TTS, 992GTS and 718GT4 were and still are being built in huge numbers so paying overs for any of them is just being stupid. Wait another month or so and 992TTS and 992GTS will be well under list if OPCs want them shifted. PCP rates at 12% will only exasperate the situation. All of the above are great cars to buy as long as a degree of fiscal awareness is employed.

POST 18Original post

It's unfathomable what some folk ask, it's not just this car that I have seen just this week at a well-inflated price either.(not Porsche)

That's a fair saving.

POST 25Original post

You do lose the rear seats GT3 style with LW options. Also get carbon roof. I think the new turbo is circa 1700kgs din so the weight saving not significant inn the context of its mass more how you feel in the LW fixed 918 style seats.

https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2023-porsche-9... 167k is the auction price for a car costing at a guess 210k??

POST 29Original post

Normal service has resumed in terms of depreciation I always fancied one but spidey sense was off at 190-200k dealers were asking It's interesting to me that even as they are substantially reduced they are not flying out the door When we see high spec ones @ 130-140k and they'll start moving probably?

POST 30Original post

There are a frankly eye watering 181 Turbo S on Autotrader currently. That suggests a significant over supply situation meantime, as others have said, that has to result in serious falls in prices - looking like the last few years “turbo bubble” has burst and it’s heading back to normal heavy depreciation on a 911 Turbo…. (Bonus is there will be some decent value second hand cars out there going forward)

Loads of cars are dropping in price across the Porsche network but I would image the impact is across all brands. Too many cars with too few punters who can handle these finance rates.

POST 44Original post

This means that to all intents and purposes a delivery miles Turbo S is heading for the same price as a well optioned new GTS and that’s even before the winter effect has kicked in…. Personally very happy now that I bought a pre price rise T rather than a specd up GTS earlier this year

So Leeds OPC have May 23 registered TS with couple hundred miles and aero kit still for sale…been reduced over £37.5k since was first for sale at York OPC in May. So IF someone had bought at £210k then would be looking at about £50k hit if tried selling back in 6 months at this rate as they would want £10k+ profit. https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en-GB/details/porsch...

I love how every comment on a price drop is hatched by a comment about the spec not being perfect and that being considered a complete explanation. If it's not plastic dashes, or sofa seats it's now no glass roof. Are we seriously considering no glass roof as a reasonable explanation for the 38k price drop....?

Surprised, as the solid lines/shape of a painted roof looks way better than the glass hair-piece look.

I collected my Turbo S cab at the end of august, paid list plus some extras, and really don't care what it is worth now. I lost hardly any money on my 992 C4S, got that in the Feb 2020, so it is all swings and roundabout really. The market is going back to what it was, new cars depreciate heavily the moment they leave the showroom. It is what it is.
