Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Everyone From what I've read on here from searching, some people suggest 0.6bar is the norm while others say 0.7 or 0.8bar. What factors play a part with this then? Atmospheric pressure? Fuel grade (95, Vpower, Tesco99 etc)? Age of diverter valves? Engine learning/adaption? Something else? Just want my car to be as good as it can be so am interested in how to do this.

POST 2Original post

0.8 bar is max for an un mapped K16 turbo car, I've seen this on mine a few times usually at WOT The only observations on your questions below is use the best fuel you can -which is V-power (99 RON) IMHO, porsche recommend 98+ minimum anyway upgraded DV's will help you hold boost rather than be a factor in getting to max.

POST 3Original post

Standard turbo will boost to 0.6bar and an x50 trubo/turbo s will boost to 0.8bar, a remap will normally add 0.2-0.3 bar onto the boost!

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well I must be doing ok then as today I mostly saw 0.7bar. Occasionally it was 0.6bar and once I saw 0.8, so happy enough now. Using tesco99 and it's now had 1.5 tanks, soon to be 3+ tanks!
