Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Is anyone familiar with the Dice electronics ipod car stereo interface for Porsches? Apparently, the device allows you to view/use your ipod via the screen in the Cayman or via your steering wheel if you have that feature.

POST 2Original post

Isn't this exactly the same as the more popular Dension product?

POST 3Original post

I'm not familiar with the Deninson product and I'm also not familiar with the Dice product which is why I was hoping someone could offer some objective advice about the ipod interface products. Based on their websites, it seems as though the Dice product works with any genertation of ipod device. I also think the Dice product supports other mp3 player devices according to their website. What I really wanted to know were customer experiences because what is on a website could all be marketing not exactly truthful.

POST 4Original post

I believe DICE is just a company that Dension formerly used to market their products in their United States. Originally Dice was going to market the Gateway 500 iPod product and Dension was the manufacturer; but as things unfolded Dension did the R&D and the marketing for the Gateway 500; which IMO is the best MOST bus iPod/Aux interface product available. It is less buggy than the NavTV alternative, and new firmware is constantly being developed. Porsche 's own interface is based on an FM modulator design, so while it is an OEM alternative covered by warranty and installable at dealers; it does not offer the sound quality of the Dension unit. - Suneet

hi, are you sure that dice is dension in the USA? Because products are not the same as FM Ipod interface that allows text on the radio display.... Is it a good item?
