This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

General: I have a 2006 Cayman with 6 disk changer and Bose. The closest dealership is over 2 hrs away from me. I was driving and switched the radio to cd changer, worked fine. Listened to cd number 6, then switched to cd 5, then...... Problem: I can insert cd into headunit, works fine. As for changer, when I hit the button, headunit displays "no cd". I tried to eject the changer and it will NOT eject. Solution: Before I drive 2 hrs away, I would like to try and eject it myself but no clue on what to do. Any ideas?

POST 2Original post

This has happened to me on occasion... turn the car off and let it sit for about 7-10 minutes, letting everything in the car re-set... then try it again. This has worked for me... if it doesn't, try disconnecting the battery and letting the car sit for about the same amount of time... re-connect the battery and see what that does. If that doesn't work, then you're off to the dealer for a new head unit or changer. When I get the "no CD" thing, shutting the car off and waiting has always fixed it for me. brad

POST 3Original post

Gee, I didn't know that Microsoft made CD changers. Brian

POST 4Original post

Thank you. I tried to eject it after the car was turned off, but nothing. I called the dealership and I have her going in next weekend. I think the cd got jammed. ---thread closed---
