Just had the Parrot 3200 LS-Color installed. I really like it, after pairing my phone all of my contacts were automatically downloaded into the phone. The audio goes through the built in speakers (Bose in my case). A cool feature is that when making or receiving a call, the PCM display says External Phone in use. It would be even better if it would display the caller/callee information.
More info on the 3200
The Parrot screen displays the incoming caller info, though, right?
Correct, the Parrot screen displays the caller's phone number. It also displays signal strength and battery life. May depend on your phone's bluetooth capabilities. I have not tried it, but you can even up load photo's of your caller which will be displayed on the screen.
One more think I forgot to mention that I really like is that it uses the voice calls on my phone to make phone calls. So I can just say "Home" and it will dial home. If desired you can record the voice recognition in the parrot, but I already had a few programmed.
Hi, do you guys think $300 is a fair price to buy the 3200 and get it installed?
The Parrot 3200 itself ranges in price between $150-200. It took the installer about 4 hours so based on that it is probably a good price.
How did you get the Parrot to work through the Bose speakers? All speakers, or just one of the LF or RF speakers?
It is coming out of all the speakers and interrupts the stereo and displays the text "External Phone" on the PCM display. I did not do the install so I can't tell you how it was done. I had it installed at Car Toys you could try calling them but don't know if they will tell you?
It is possible that they spliced in where the wires go off to each speaker, but not sure?

I missed the part where you said PCM. That will make a difference. I have 3400-LS (since January) without PCM and could only get it to work with Bose speakers by tapping speaker wires. I opted for a seperate add on 2" speaker.
So I assume with the separate speaker, you turn the radio off while using the phone manually or does it still tapped into the wire that bypasses the radio?
the stereo has a mute line and you can still use that no matter how you hook the speaker up.
