Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Reported cause
Once I took the Pagids out, the problem was pretty obvious - they were really badly cracked.
Leading evidence: 'pretty obvious - they were really badly cracked' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'pretty obvious - they were really badly cracked' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check warpage though i think' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suspected cause
I changed pads anyway but never tracked the car again before it went so I don't know if the problem was still there or not.

Worth getting the discs checked for warpage though I think??

Workmates are arguing between pad transfer as a result of the spin that needs cleaning off with a more agressive track pad or disk hot spots that will ultimately cause cracked disks (I don't like the sound of that).

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Never cured it although, as you say, does not reveal itself on the road.
During a track day at Silverstone yesterday, great fun despite the weather, my car's picked up some moderate brake judder. The judder is enough to shake the steering wheel but nothing excessive and only happens when the brakes are hot.
I'm fairly certain I know what caused the judder but the track addicts at work have conflicting answers for how to clear it.
Basically I spun the car going into copse so stood on brakes and clutch until the world stopped spinning (my first 720!) and then drove off for a cooling down lap before parking up to calm down. On my next session out I'd just got the car up to temperature and felt some very weak judder that could have been just the ABS but then the red flag came out and I could only get half a lap of cool down. Every session after that sufferred judder once the brakes had warmed. Once cold the judder goes away completely, on the drive home I couldn't get the brakes hot enough to judder despite best efforts on some quiet lanes.
Disks and pads are fairly new but have been bedded in over 2000 miles. I never park with the handbrake at track days and always have a cool down lap or two, red flags permitting.

I thought I'd consult the experts on here for more opinions. Anyone else had a similar experience.
What is the car?
Had a similar thing on my previous tt. Never cured it although, as you say, does not reveal itself on the road. I changed pads anyway but never tracked the car again before it went so I don't know if the problem was still there or not.
The discs will crack anyway sooner or later so I wouldn't be too concerned about that.
Why not get a disc/pad set up and keep it specifically for when you do a track day?
mate of mine had a similar issue at Silverstone with his M3 CSL. He drove it sensible(ish) for a couple of months afterwards, and the problem dissapeared. Worth getting the discs checked for warpage though I think??
Senoj made a good suggestion - keep a seperate set for track!
I'd go with the pad deposits. I got that at Rockingham, judder when applying the brakes. It only came on half way through the day. Sean Edwards advised me to do some harder approach braking which cleared the deposits and the judder.
You may also have picked up tyre debris on the inner edges which is adding to the wheel wobble feel...
:?:
Thanks guys.
As the judder doesn't happen on the road I'm not too concerned. I don't do enough track days to justify keeping a dedicated set of disks and pads around but I do like to get 3 or 4 days a year in so wanted to be sure I wasn't due a brake failure next time out.
I had this at Brands a few years ago on my tt - at the end of the main straight, I had the wheel wobble but only on braking.
I didn't spin but it gradually got worse thru' the day and was then only faint on the drive home.
It didn't get any better or worse but as I'd got fed up with the Pagid blues squeeling, I changed them for new standard pads.
Once I took the Pagids out, the problem was pretty obvious - they were really badly cracked. The discs and Pagids had only done maybe 4k miles.
I then had the discs skimmed on the car which only revealed a tiny bit of distortion but it's all perfect now :thumb:
