Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

After some suspension modifications my Litronics need recalibrating. They seem to rise when turning them on but definitely not enough to be much use! Is this a PIWIS only job or is there anything I can do myself? J

POST 2Original post

You can adjust them in exactly the same way as the halogen lights, to raise them up a bit. After adjustment switch the ignition on and off, to check they go back to the same place. To be honest, I'm not sure what recalibration actually does. I've done it on mine, but it just jiggled the lights up and down a bit and they seemed to end up exactly where they were before.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Richard, I'll give it a go!

POST 4Original post

Just use the 5mm Allen-key holes in the wings (behind boot carpet). Just make sure you are still in MoT guidlines (not too high etc). There are three adjustments - the headlight height is the lower rear (B)(behind rubber flaps) See your manual, under Headlight Adjustment section (approx page 175).

POST 6Original post

Litronic calibration Due to the suspension change your headlight leveling sensors will now think you have passengers sitting in the car as your car now sits lower (I presume your kit has dropped ride height) These sensors are in the nearside front and rear wheel arches, not sure if these can be adjusted in any way ? Check them for damage, my rear has currently a broken linkage arm from the sensor to the lower suspension arm. These parts can be bought separately and looks like a simple fix even for a DiY job.
