That got me to a 718 Spyder but then i thought a Targa would give me the ability to take the family sometimes and as such use the car more.

Quite different driving experiences…hard to say really it is about whether you would like a car that is a more nimble/lively over something that is a bit more practical and might get used more, Having more use cases for a car is always good.

Afternoon all, I am in the market for one of the above but was hoping for some first hand experiences. In the past I have had a few GT3s and these did not get used much as I have a young family / work alot etc. Plus I did not take them on track and found them a bit compromised for just driving locally. It always felt like i needed to be go 10/10 which was a bit of a headache a lot of the time. So, my man logic is that if i can add another dimension (being an open top) I can cruise around and not feel like i need to race about. That got me to a 718 Spyder but then i thought a Targa would give me the ability to take the family sometimes and as such use the car more. I get that these are two very different cars, but i am after any wisdom. I favour the Spyder because i think it would be more fun. I think residual value would be better too, though that is secondary. Thanks!
