This is not a probability of success.

Sounds ok, make sure the belts been changed somewhere in there, I think 48k and 96k are belt change services.

The car has had little use over the last few months and after a good run there was a strong smell of burning, the car has just had a service.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, Just viewed/drove the above and looking for a little advice please! The car has around 92,000 on the clock, 1 owner from new and in reasonable condition. The targa top is very creaky on our very bad potholed roads here in the Holme Valley in Yorkshire, but improved when I got to some decent surfaces, is this normal and can I do anything about it? The car has had little use over the last few months and after a good run there was a strong smell of burning, the car has just had a service. It has FSH, first with supplying dealer and then well known indi. The car appears genuine, a bit rough around the edges here and there, but ok. Appreciate any advice. Thanks :?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Maxie, Yours looks fab. However it's a little out of my price range...

POST 5Original post

:hand: I don't think it matters what car you are driving in the Holme valley... you're always going to get creaks and rattles! I used to live up towards Holme village and remember the roads were shocking... must be a nightmare post 2010 thaw! :what:

POST 6Original post

There are some very simple and cheap things that can almost eliminate this but to be expected. Oily, rubbery smell coming from the wheelarch is typical after a "good" run. Sounds ok, make sure the belts been changed somewhere in there, I think 48k and 96k are belt change services. Also check brakes and tyres have some life as you'll spend another £1000 plus replacing them. Good luck
