Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Took it to opc scumcastle (newcastle) and the first thing the ******* said was the anti corosion warranty isnt outside to inside but its inside to outside then he said after checking it is it will take a while before porsche decide weather to fix it!
My 996 has full OPC history will all relevant bodywork checks and is under extended Porsche warranty until February 2011.
I took it to an OPC two weeks ago because the bottom (near rear screen) of both roof transport system strips (that's the best I can describe it) has corrosion bubbles under the paint.
Several days later the OPC rang me to say Porsche would not cover this because the warranty is for the 'bodyshell' and these strips are not considered part of that!
I have complained to Porsche customer services. They have acknowledged receipt and have said that they will respond within 7 working days.
I'll let you know when they respond.
Has anybody else suffered with corrosion on these strips?
Porsche have responded this morning with........***** off! Basically.
Just so you all know...
'In addition to this, our vehicle's come with a 10 year anti-corrosion
warranty. This covers corrosion from the inside to the outside of the
metalwork. It includes the chassis, doors and bonnet. The panels referred
to in your email are separate from the chassis and as such, classified as
trim components. Trim components are not covered under the 10 year anti
corrosion warranty, and once the 2 year manufacturers warranty expires, the
responsibility to replace these lies with the owner of the vehicle.'
They went on to say that goodwill only applies to cars younger than 5 years old too!
So is corrosion on these roof bars common?
Just last week I noticed some slight bubbling under the paintwork on the front end of the passenger side roof strip...nothing I'm too concerned about (yet!)
