Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
I have the round tips from Porsche and I'm going to keep using them; perhaps while they are off I will give them a good cleaning though.

I'm guessing that they did it because the power gain is absolutely negligible and you have the added convenience of using any of the standard Porsche

One of the reasons I chose the AWE over the Milltek was that I saved money and got to use my factory round chrome tips, which I love the look of.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Chows assessment of the AWE is dead on. I used to catch a little vibration under 2000 rpm but with a driving style change it went away. The AWE just likes a little more RPM.
Definitely break out your checkbooks! AWE is as close to perfect as you are going to find.
I wish I would have gotten a free t-shirt though
I've gotta make a trip to Philly in the spring and I've already talked to AWE about installing their
exhaust
for me. I'll make an appointment and it'll take about 2 hours at the most. chows4us, thanks for the excellent feedback.
We get that one a lot. Do you think sending a case of beer might smooth things over? We once had to send a strip-o-gram! (and I'm not much of a dancer)

Thanks for the write up. Happy holidays from the staff. We are glad you like it.
You may have seen my glowing post about my AWE catback before but I'm still in love. No rattle or tiny sound at 2k that I notice on my Boxster S and it's heaven with the top and throttle down at the same time.
A dealership Porsche tech installed my
exhaust
as a side job for $150 cash. Can't beat that!
*sigh* I was on the fence originally but because of the review, I decided to take the plunge. I have got to stop reading this forum. It's costing me $$$!

It's a disease! Just spent $1 grand for snows, another $4 grand for 19" Sport Design Wheels with PS2's (for spring install), and now I'm thinking about $2 grand including install for AWE
exhaust
. My wife calls the
Cayman S
the Money Pit. Thank God she does not match my spending $ for $. She's a gem!
With the number of orders that they received, I imagine that this would be a worthwhile poll. I ordered on Friday and did not opt for the tips. I read a few articles here about how if the
exhaust
stays separate and does not go to a single collector, the performance is better. I asked Mike from Awe if their tips go into a single collector and he said yes (same as stock). I did like the look, but for $400 I can pass. If they were on sale at a much lower price, I probably would have opted for them. I will probably send my current tips to Boothe Design to get the black chrome finish.

Great
exhaust
You mentioned the
Borla
. Well, for those of you waiting for
Borla
to develop one, don't hold your breath. I was at the
Borla
facility last month and talked with their marketing guy and he said that they aren't developing one, at least not yet one reason because they don't have a car to use. I think the other reason was the they aren't sure there is a market for one. At least enough of one to do the R&D.
Sigh ...
I had emailed them several times and just got a stock response ... "we're working on it". The problem with big companies like that is probably they got to cater to 50,000 Vette customers but 5,000 potential
Caymans
per year isn't worth their effort.
You can't get a better review than that. Thanks!
Do you think they would be interested in becoming a dealer of ours? We already have many Porsche dealers that sell our system. Adding one more would just another feather in the cap. Email me his contact info.
Handmade at our facility and all stainless.

Or how about a cell phone ring tone?
I have had mine sitting in my dining room for two weeks. It is getting installed tomorrow. I will have dynos before and after and my car is completely stock (no desnork, no chip) I thought everyone would appreciate the comparison. I can't wait!!!! I'll post the the charts here when I get them.
