Suggestion

I know of a very good specialist in Bournemouth - comes highly recommended by a friend who has his 968 worked on by them - and he's been through a few independents to end up with this one he trusts.

Judging from whats been written about inspections in recent months, I would only rather use the AA as a last resort.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • PistonHeads: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Not sure, but my tech may be able to help out if you collected him from Oxfordshire and crossed his palm with silver. Iguana knows him as well. A lot will depend if he's free or not. I would suggest one nearer to the car if possible, most prefer you to drive the car to them as well, so as to get it on the ramps. If all else fails, email me and I'll put you in touch with my tech who *may* be able to help.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Found a nice 996 C2 Cab that I am interested in down south (Ford in Wessex. Not far from Gatwick) and wondered if there are any specialist Porsche garages who could carry out an inspection. The nearest Porsche garage (in Brighton) do not do inspectinos anymore and recommended the AA. Judging from whats been written about inspections in recent months, I would only rather use the AA as a last resort.
