Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

On April 12th I finished the install of the following mods: Fabspeed Headers Fabspeed Catback Exhaust GIAC Chip Evo Cold Air Intake. Had the work done at Pfaff tuning in Newmarket, Ontario and the before and after dyno results are found below: As per the dyno runs I've gained 20hp and 17lb/ft at the rear wheels. With regards to driving performance and feel there is a noticeable difference in my Cayman S. I can now easily keep pace with a base 997 911 and I can't wait to see the on-track performance at Mosport again this weekend. Hopefully I'll have my video cam going so we can all see how well it goes. Cheers, Matt

Nice Gains! Way to go Matt! Thanks for posting your dyno sheet. "REAL" performance numbers are so hard to come by online. We want a full report and video when you get back next week - we're counting on you!

POST 3Original post

The real question is what's the exchange rate between Canadian hp and American, eh? good gains.

POST 4Original post

suneet, That one was real funny, gave me a good laugh. Someday I'll have a nice place in S. Florida then I can drive my Cayman like its summer all year long. Matt

POST 5Original post

If I read your results correctly the 20hp gain at the rear wheels could be sliced up in the following way: EVO + GIAC = 7-10hp gain Fabspeed header + catback = 10-13hp gain It would, of course, been nice to do them separately to see what each gained, but I am basing the EVO+GIAC numbers on multiple tests from others. Now here is the kicker, AWE and Milltek both net 10-12hp gain from the catback alone, and Milltek headers gain another 8-10hp. These fabspeed headers may not be producing gains or at least as much as people would like as this is now the 4th dyno report I've seen on the Fabspeed system which shows it not to be producing as much HP (I think due to headers mostly) as some other systems. In all, positive gains though and you certainly should notice the difference on the track and street, Canadian, US or otherwise... Enjoy!

[These fabspeed headers may not be producing gains or at least as much as people would like as this is now the 4th dyno report I've seen on the Fabspeed system which shows it not to be producing as much HP (I think due to headers mostly) as some other systems. Are the Dyno Pulls for some of the other systems available on this site?

POST 7Original post

Some are, for example tommasson's (sp) in the UK. http://www.planet-9.com/showthread.php?t=10011

POST 8Original post

I agree with KManS. However, I reckon the headers are good for at least 8-10bhp (cat less) whilst the cat-back is possibly 4-6. Terry

POST 9Original post

Modifications I posted this a while back. I obtained similar numbers (+23 hp and +17 ft-lbs) with Milltek headers / exhaust and EVO intake, without any ECU change. We did load the GIAC software and saw no change at all and went back to stock. The point is just as KMan noted, you need to check things in sequence to know what each is giving. BTW my local Porsche dealer just complete my Quife TBD install. They said it went without a hitch. Michael W Belin
