Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Is the title appropriate? LOL, ok, back to business, I would like to know if the sound of the PSE can be replicated by modifying our stock exhaust... i'm thinking about a bypass or something like that... here is a link to an ebay auction of what i'm thinking about (maybe a little bit diferrent but you get the idea) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Porsche-Boxster-986-2-7-Sport-Sound-Muffler-Exhaust_W0QQitemZ290116884342QQihZ019QQcategoryZ38786QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem , here is a pic also... thanks!

POST 2Original post

does anyone have a picture/drawing/schematic of the inside of our exhaust?

POST 3Original post

I think if you take a look at Techart sport exhaust system it is very similar to what you want to do. http://www.techart.de/techart/showcategory.asp?cat=66&lang=en&prog=65# Basically 4 pipe into one. Then you would fine tune the opening on the upper pipes to adjust for the sound.

POST 4Original post

lawrence, that is a great point to start. I think something like that could be done, but I dont know, see how about a year ago some poeple opened their upper pipe some 1/4 of an inch to get a deeper/louder sound, imagine opening it some more?! it would be terribly loud (i guess), but its a good idea, thanks. What else you guys think? Just as an FYI, I am not interested in an exhaust, as i only want sound, I have done the 1/4 of an inch upper pipe thing and not my cup of tea, so basically my goal is to spend the least amount of money possible and getting the closest sound to the PSE (these may help many other poeple here that dont want to spend lots of $$$ for just sound). Thanks!
