which one is yours ?
made in germany or USA?
i heard that pss9 made by germany doesn't come with warranty?? and if i wait for us production will be waranted?
anybody can confirm this ?
Where did you hear such a thing?
rocket: PSS9s are popular aftermarket coil-overs consisting of somewhat firmer springs and shocks valved or "tuned" for the spring rates. They are made by Bilstein for a variety of Porsche models and are considered to be of very high quality.
Now that others have chimed in I will say that the PSS9's that I know of as well as Bilstein's new suspension have all been made in Germany. AFAIK Bilstein has testing facilities in the U.S. but no manufacturing. Again, I'd like to know where the OP heard such a rumor?
i ordered my shock thru carlab, and he called bilstein...
bilstein told him that if i wait a while, i'll be the 1st person who gets the us made shocks. the problem is, did bilstein really expanding to USA? i just wanna reconfirm this...
and one more thing... the coil over made by usa bilstein is going to be slightly diffrent from the one thats bade in uk.. the reason is... they are making it to suit the US road...
i need someone to confirm this...
PS: pss9 are coil overs made by bilstein !!!
Perhaps I can help clarify things. All Bilstein shocks and struts are made in Germany. Before Bilstein USA officially imported and distributed the Cayman specific sport shocks and PSS9 struts from Germany these items were only available directly from Germany. When I spoke to FVD in Pompano Beach they informed me that they could obtain the Cayman PSS9 but since it wasn't officially available in the USA it would not be covered by the warranty which
is
provided by Bilstein USA on our shores.
thanks daveC,
can you confirm about bilstein's USA manufacturer too?
