Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

I know who is releasing this and I've had some conversations with them, but as of yet details are very sketchy and without some clarity this certainly isn't something I'd recommend people just "bolt-on" to their engine anymore than you'd recommend swapping a differential without checking preload and backlash.

Suggestion

For someone so thorough on differential changes I'm surprised that you'd advocate a bolt-on turbo kit where none of the details are known, particularly those around how the fuel is delivered and what changes are made to the ECU, etc.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I know of a prototype single turbo kit that is on a Cayman S right now that is putting 385rwhp on the ground. :drivingskid: Once the intercooler location is settled the kit should come to market reletively quickly. The kit is bolt on with no internal engine mods necessary. This is going to be a fuggin riot to drive!!

POST 2Original post

How much will it cost? How much will the install cost? Will it require an ECU flash? What sort of warranty is provided. I think many here will be interested, depending on your responses.

POST 4Original post

from bad to worse? Ken, If you don't set the proper bearing preload/gear backlash, you will end with a noisy differential and maybe a burn bearing, but if you don't set the proper air/fuel ratio you will end with a melted piston...

POST 5Original post

Whoa whoa!!! Did you miss the word "prototype" as in not in production??? Who said it wouldn't need a piggyback??? I didn't tell anyone to do anything. Don't make the noose yet!! Actually I know quite a few of the details, I just can't go in depth yet. The kit will happen. It will be complete. It will have a piggyback. Kit price and install price are both too early to tell. I am just passing on dyno info and the fact that it does exsist. It will be plug n play. Do it in your garage at home kind of thing. Man, you guys are a tough crowd! LOL....
