Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

anyone use BMC air filter over the OEM? Benefits vs price? Looks like $120 vs. $40

POST 2Original post

I'm running the BMC drop-in filter. I've read you get better flow initially, but after some time it flows no better than the OE filter. I don't know if this is true. It can be cleaned and re-oiled and theoretically will outlast the car. Fabspeed has them for $85. ddb

POST 4Original post

Once I installed it, you can just hear it sucking more vs oem. Got it for 80 online

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

^ as in the super wickedly cool Boxster induction sound gets louder? or more like your trash compactor on the fritz again?
