Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Planet-9: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

:helpme: steamy windows , have had car back at porsche because of condensation on front side and rear windows . charged me £180 told me checked all the car over and all the seals are fine .. went out to car today and the carpet trim on the bottom of both doors are soaking . does any1 have any ideas :thanks:

POST 2Original post

Is your car kept outdoors by any chance? Pop the battery cover and make sure there is no debris at the bottom of the tray that could be blocking any of the drains. I had an issue with my AC drain and after a heavy rain storm, could hear water sloshing somewhere in the front dash when making turns. My passenger footwell was flooded too, although the drivers side remained dry.

POST 3Original post

I just looked for alittle bit, but someone here had the same issue not too long ago, I believe their dad actually found the problem as he was driving the car for some reason, the owner was wondering who feels the carpeted area on the door but turns out good thing he did. I believe the seals inside the door panel were gone, something that has happened b4, check previous threads you may find exactly what I'm writting bout....:gossip:

POST 4Original post

That's right! I wasn't reading carefully enough, wet DOOR PANEL carpet. Here's a link to the thread: http://www.planet-9.com/cayman-boxster-complaints/32189-wet-door-carpet.html

POST 5Original post

Yep, check out that thread. The problem is the seals inside the doors. Just happened to me and the dealer fixed it with no problems. I don't know why it happens, and it seems to be a rare problem, but the fix is easy. Good luck. O and they shouldn't charge you anything. I think they should even reimburse you for the first time you brought it in and they didn't find anything.

POST 7Original post

Hello fynepax, I used to suffer with an intermittent leak and foggy windows as well until I discovered the source of my moisture leak. I found a mis-aligned gasket that installs between the cabin-air air filter and the steel firewall. I'll send you a PM with some copies of my previous communication from when I helped another CC member with this same problem. Regards, Joe
