I replaced my leaky heater-core with a good used one from ebay last fall but just wondering if there is anything else that could be leaking .....

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, Is there anything besides the heater core inside the dash that can leak coolant causing coolant vapor to come from the vents when the heat is turned on?? Its always a really good thick blast of it when I first turn on the blower and then seems to go away or be much less noticeable. .....can still smell it though. I replaced my leaky heater-core with a good used one from ebay last fall but just wondering if there is anything else that could be leaking ..... or if the used one I bought is also leaking. The used one I bought looked like new so I find it hard to believe but I guess it could be leaking......????

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

perhaps not as good as I should have.
