This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

-- battery died over the winter months, on a trickle charge for the remaining winter, started car and PSM Failure warning came on, also now my signals don't work,wipers.cruise.. pasm .etc...everything worked fine before...spoiler goes up and down,,,any ideas...80k miles on car..drove it for awhile to reset psm,,no luck.i removed the rear bumper for some paint work, disconnected the taillights, if that means anything? installed everything back .i don't have a diagnostic tool to reset yet...looking at the POR II on ebay...need assistance...thx roger

POST 2Original post

Put a DVM on the battery and check the voltage with motor running. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

POST 3Original post

First thing I would troubleshoot is just get the signal working -- maybe a fuse issue? and maybe it's all related to the other stuff not working. If that battery is bad, see if you can borrow a known good one or just verify the existing one is good. Dennis

POST 4Original post

thx for the insight...took it to a Porsche mechanic, not dealership,, diagnosed it within minutes,, turns out to be when the battery dies it turns off a lot of components, anything attached to the steering wheel went dead, signals, wipers, cruise, and on board computer...he re flashed it and I'm good to go... if anyone is in the Hamilton-Stoney Creek area, this shop I would recommend,, Zoro Tech

POST 6Original post

I just took delivery of a Porsche Cayman that was shipped cross country. It was dead on arrival. Finally got it started and the OBC alert was "Reduced Power, PCM Failure." We let it run for a few minutes this way and then shut it down. Next restart, message alert was cleared and it has been good since.
