Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 2Original post

Lift up bonnet. Underneath you'll see 2 holes where badge sits. 2x10mm nuts IIRC (could be 8mm) that screw onto plastic pegs on the base of the badge. The pegs aren't threaded originally. Unscrew these and it should come off... :thumb:

POST 3Original post

in the words of Chef Ramsay.... Removal of Porsche bonnet crest emblem in under 3 mins.... done!!! lol!!

POST 4Original post

When you refit the badge, dunk the gasket in a cup of boiling water to make it more pliable. It makes the job a lot easier. Also, be very gentle when you tighten the self-tapping nuts - it cuts a thread in the two lugs of the badge far too easily and it is easy to 'strip' the thread.
