still seems strange ,I had ck engine lite go on 3000 miles ago,dlr said code was stuck thermostat they had car for a day, I told them temp gauge never moved beyond 175 degree mark, thought it was strange but I guess its fixed ....but fan at 1-2 minutes running time doesn't seem normal to me, love to drive this car but German engineering baffles me sometimes, first Porsche but had previous Audi A6 2.7 Twin turbo that fell apart after 60000 miles hope Im not in for more weirdo problems only have 11000 miles and pamper all my cars,today started car and was running for about 1 minute put it in reverse[PDK] to back out of garage ,no movement ,immediately put it park and tried again this time eng

I have same problem, the right side cooling fan run on level 3 very soon after car start....the Temp just warm, not hot yet.

Started car, idling in driveway, after not more than than 2 minutes with barley movement on temp gauge and right front radiator fan starts ,runs for 2-3 more minutes ,stops starts again engine not even warm,another Porsche gremlin or normal??

My Honda Civic does same. The fluid in the radiator gets hot pretty quickly...especially if the thermostat is closed. My 12 definitely seems to run its fans sooner, longer and more often than my 08 did. There has also been much commentary regarding the idiot gauge versus actual temperatures reported by ODBII...with at least one track report of near "red zone" temps being reported by ODB II while the idiot gauge remained in the hot but normal range. Temperatures clearly vary much more than the idiot gauge reports.
