Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Run time' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run time' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I want to remove my facia panel.
The one that covers the TC button, wiper delay and heated rear window switch etc.
I have managed to remove the delay button without breaking anything but the panel wont move.
Is it just a case of pulling or is there something else holding it on?
ditto - weirdly, have just removed mine and wrapped it with carbon effect vinyl...
all of those fascia plates just pull off, no special clips or anything to worry about...
Thanks for the reassurance gents.
So hammer and screwdriver it is!-I'm going in tomorrow.
In case you're wondering why I want to remove it,it's not to paint it or clad it in gold or leather it's so I can install a switch in one of the blanks for an electric powered variable exhaust bypass valve system.
Yeah I know what you're thinking,he can't even get a poxy facia off and he's going to do all that!!!! :floor:
More on the subject later as the project moves on.
:mechanic:
are you fitting an oem PSE system or have you come up with something else to switch it on and off. If you have then I'm sure lots here would be interested
It's the fruit of over 9 months R and D nearly ready to go.
Motor driven variable bypass system better than the PSE because it's variable and provides FULL muffler bypass at the end of a genuine Porsche rocker switch mounted in the facia.
However it needs some run time to prove the system out
I will share all of this with anyone who is interested after a trial period
A fraction of the cost of the pse
Tried before in the USA with issues I think (I'm sure) I have overcome them all.
