Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey, I just put a deposit down on a 2001 996 carrera 4!! Just wondered if anyone could advise me weather or not lowering springs from a 2002 996 turbo would fit? Thanks, Tom.

POST 2Original post

nice....! Why not go the whole hog and get KW's fitted - lowering and performance in one go..!! :thumb:

POST 4Original post

nice motor :thumb: KW3s have done wonders for my car, had them fitted at Center Gravity. Cost about £2000 including fit, setup and corner weight. Car runs 35mm below stock. That was about a year ago.

POST 5Original post

ditto.... V3 definately transforms the way the car handles in the corners, and also braking under high speed. Stops that god awful nose bouncing at the front end too....!!! Sits lower, looks meaner - and coupled with some 15mm spacers, my ass end now looks nice 'n' fat!! small price to pay for turning the car into what should be, factory performance in my view...!

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

ok you've convinced me. I'll look at coilovers in a few months! I want to get a front splitter on it too! can't wait to pick it up!

POST 7Original post

good lad...! yeah, splitter will look nice - and there was some talk on here yesterday about the downforce benefits too... Don't forget the KW offer 3 variants, so it's not necessary to go fo the V3 if you are not doing much track time... V3 is fully adjustable though - in height, bump and rebound so you can set the car up to ride exactly how you want it to... I'll stop blowing wind up their backside now...I just love what they have done to my car

POST 8Original post

Porsche GT3RS (AKA Cup) Splitter from the 996 MKII will fit your car. Also the cheapest from the OPC. Including the rivets should be £100 or less. Check out this thread for details http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=52064&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=gt3rs+splitter&start=10 Makes a difference but no substitute for a suspension upgrade
