Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Has anyone heard of getting a CEL for a bad ground on an amplifier?? I recently got a P0650 fault and after some playing around im thinking it may be due to a bad ground from the amp? Would that set of the CEL?

POST 2Original post

The P0650 is a generic code and is for any electrical open/short/grounding of the CEL. You may want to check your wiring. Regards, paul...

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I re-ran the ground from behind the drivers seat to the front "boot"... everything seems to be working fine now..

POST 4Original post

I am having the same problem. I have a OBD-II code p0650 and ceck engine light only works some time on my 00 Boxster S. Since I have witnessed the check engine light on, I don't think it is a light blub problem. I also don't understand "I re-ran the ground from behind the drivers seat to the front "boot"... everything seems to be working fine now.." Can some one please help, I just bought the can and I need it to pass emitions so I can register it.
