Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Am I wrong or is this wrong? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1620889.htm :?:

POST 2Original post

I am assuming you are referring to the fact that its a 2003 '53' plate but the Turbo S only came out in 2005? So it is being misdescribed! Maybe trying to say that with X50 its a bit like the S .....but still 39bhp lacking? Otherwise, looks a lovely spec car in great condition.

POST 3Original post

Well spotted Chris. I also thought Turbo S cars had different coloured alloys (a dark silver finish) and ceramic brakes as standard. I think there should be 'Turbo S' logos scattered around the dials/ centre console too? The 'S' badge looks stuck on. ~ Maxie :?:

POST 4Original post

Naughty with regard to sticking the S badge on the back. Turbo S cars came out in 2005. I hate it when people make out their car is something it isn't. I guess he could refer to it being a Turbo S due to the Tiptronic S transmission, I have seen a few people do that with their ads but really, it should be referred to as a Turbo Tip.

POST 5Original post

+1 definately stuck on.... he hasn't bothered to remove the turbo first and respace it so it's all central... He might as well advertise it as an Enzo..!!! lol!!!

POST 6Original post

owner can't spell Porsche either! :hand: Maybe thats what it is, its a Porche Turbo S but if it was in Porsche terms its just a Turbo. :floor: As you say beautiful looking car as well. Don't know why you would want to do that. :dont know:

POST 7Original post

:yeah: ...didn't even bother to stick some S stickers on his sill plates either. :redcard:

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So that's a 'yes' then. As stated before, it looks a fine car just a shame to try and pass it off as something it really isn't. Ah well!

POST 10Original post

I've had my wrists slapped by ZeroH for suggesting that, because the Turbo S is 450bhp, not 489. Only the 2005 GT2 was 489.

POST 11Original post

As I understand it a Turbo s is really only an x 50 with ceramic brakes and a few superficial cosmetic touches. And given the cost of replacing ceramic discs .........

POST 12Original post

Although the ceramic discs are expensive to replace, aren't they meant to last at least 100k miles ?
