Hi gang, Short version is that I'm looking to replace my seats in my 987.2 2010 Boxster base , as the driver's seat is trashed. I found an affordable set (wrong color but I'll go for the 2-tone look) from an earlier 987.1 , but I don't see a seat occupancy sensor system on the passenger's side. Does anyone know if the system is easily transferred from my 2010 passenger seat? Apparently it is between the rails and the cushion, but I have no idea per disassembly instructions. I'm guessing that I could code it out using my PIWIS 2 , but that would just disable the airbags on that side and I'm not comfortable with that workaround. Thanks for any advice!

Turns out that the photos of the seat I was sent was actually a driver's seat (no sensor) instead of a passenger seat, which confused the issue. Turns out the 987.1 passenger seat DID does indeed have a weight sensor, so ideally the mischief is managed here. Thanks for everyone's help!

Both the seat cushion and the seat cover bottom is trashed on the passenger side by excessive leather oil penetrating through the whole seat. Let's just say that "mistakes were made" when I tried to soften the leather. Cost to have the seat cushion alone is $200+ plus new seat leather and installation, and I'm not crazy about the sand beige color. So what I may just do is find a set of used seats at this point.
