Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

For those of you who have done so, what is the reason for ignoring the free upgrade to the larger fuel tank? (or is it simply the case that you have ordered it but not bothered mentioning it, as it's not that important / exciting?!) 64l is hardly massive, given the performance and likely fuel consumption from the engine, and the extra range could be really useful! I was frustrated that the 90l tank was not available on the RHD 991 GT3. Edited by sidicks on Saturday 2nd May 20:43

Edited by sidicks on Saturday 2nd May 20:43 are you saying there is a 90L tank option for RHD GT4? regards the GT3, 90L option has never been offered on RHD, only Euro Spec LHD.

keep it lit said: are you saying there is a 90L tank option for RHD GT4? I know, but it was mentioned in the early UK brochures, so I was hoping it was available (given I frequently do 300+ mile trips). Edited by sidicks on Saturday 2nd May 20:52

POST 13Original post

wouldn't call 55 - 64 an upgrade, more like and extra mug full.... still I agree that is a poor size tank for a track car. because your RHD GT3 is a 'conversion' in regards of steering column position, you end up with the poxy tank.. only the Euro spec cars (not even the US LHD) get the original large design 90L tanks, which are super handy for the Ring and cross Europe adventures!

Carr a ra White) were shown together with dates, but apparently my build date is beyond the relevant period so the ordering restriction didn't apply. We'll see, but November is a long time away and Carrara white is not an exclusive colour for the GT4; I guess Porsche are backing themselves to have resolved their supply problem by then.

Hello - I'm invited in to fix the spec on mine tomorrow. Whilst I enjoyed sitting in the GT4/918 bucket seats in Geneva I'd appreciate it if anyone could let me know if it would be a mistake not to specify them. Do we either go : 1. White club sport car with with cage buckets maybe no sat nav as a focused fast road car Or 2..nicer daily driver, not white, with sat nav leather sport seats and the sound pack thing? Is it possible to spec the car badly so that it would be hard to sell after my 3 years in it? Or do they (GT3 type cars) all eventually sell? I will take the big tank and smokers pack. Do we get free carpet mats? Thank you for the help.

If used as a daily car, maybe in heavy traffic, not used on track then 2. Pretty sure there will be a market for both in three years. Which will sell easier is a matter of opinion. Mine is going to be pretty basic mainly used as a weekend toy and track car. GT3 Clubsports indicate that there will be a used market for this spec, especially if most people go the luxurious route.

Finding this thread quite interesting. I'm on the bubble and have to wait and see what if any cars will be coming in 2016. I have a Spec but obviously can play around in Fantasy land as much as I like at the moment. I'd be quite frustrated by the current delay on the buckets but maybe I'll benefit from the full colour choice or PTS if I am lucky in 2016!

Nice spec's guys! Few Q's - 1/ does VTS come as standard? 2/ What do standard headlights look like? I won't be driving it in the dark so couldn't give a to55 about Bi-Xenon's.. but i do want black (or dark grey) cases. £477 a lot of wonga! 3/ Do i need 'Door Trim Package' @ £324.00 to get fluffy bits on me doors? 4/ Are floor mats REALLY £215?? I could carpet a house for less than that! 5/ Where are the Porsche decals? Are they 'aftermarket'?

Nice spec. Have you not spec'd the Leather/Alcantara door package?

I won't be driving it in the dark so couldn't give a to55 about Bi-Xenon's.. but i do want black (or dark grey) cases. £477 a lot of wonga! 3/ Do i need 'Door Trim Package' @ £324.00 to get fluffy bits on me doors? 4/ Are floor mats REALLY £215?? I could carpet a house for less than that! 5/ Where are the Porsche decals? Are they 'aftermarket'? I think i've found the answer to 2. Bi-xenon - Standard -

Phooey said: I think i've found the answer to 2. Bi-xenon - Standard - I do not believe that is correct. I have read that the standard lights on the GT4 have the dark lenses but the bulbs are not as powerful as on the dynamic light option. Visually I don't think there is much difference when looking at the car.

POST 47 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

mmmmm, you might be right re headlights. That pic was from a GTS - which i thought would be same. Franki - i *think* you have to spec the 'door package' to get Alcantara. I need to check this.

Let me know if you do check it,but looking at the picture on my configuration it does look leather and alacantra on the doors, the contrasting stitching is certainly on the doors and you can only order it with the extended leather pack (I assume the stitching is into the leather)

POST 49Original post

no need to order any extra leather or alcantara after the £1300 option bar the £800 if you want red/yellow stiching over the free silver.

Agate Grey Platinium Rims 918 sport seats Bi Xenon PDLS Black Lights Rain Sensor 64L fuel tank Sport Chrono + app integration Cruise Control Homelink Interior lightning package Sound Plus PCM + Gps + universal audio interface I think that's it, for 130€ seems quite expensive but now that im looking at it looks to have quite a few extras on it! Im going to use it as a daily driver hopefully Also hoping to have it delivered this week .D

Oops. On Monday I fixed the following: Black (stitching in Platinum Grey) Leather Interior. code 78 £1,344 And from the Interior Alcantara Door trim package in leather/alcantara | Exclusive. Code CLP £324 I should delete the Door Trim Package? I did it to ensure I had little/no plastic on show. Appreciate the help I've only ever bought used Porsches so this is new to me.

I'm in the same position . I've ordered it but 90% sure it's not required after reading all the recent posts . Can anyone confirm 100% that you get the bulk of the door alcantara without this option . Also I'm currently interior trim painted ( as all my previous GT's and R,s have been) It doesn't seem to be getting a lot of love these days (white) . Thinking of changing to anthercite brushed aluminium ? Thoughts .......

I've gone with Carbon but leather on the central console, big fan of carbon over here - However, I sat in a new 911 GTS with the anthracite aluminium trim the other day and it looked really nice, I am tempted...

Here's mine. http://www.porsche.com/microsite/porsche-code/defa... Will be collected and straight to be wrapped in Mexico blue. Only bit I may change is wheel colour to black and add telephone prep. Not to bothered with sat nav etc as I find a never ever use it in current or previous cars.

Well as we're all sharing here's mine - may add the leather/deviating stitching in yellow depending on how i feel when finally locking it down http://www.porsche-code.com/PGNYIAE7 Re the discussion the the white - the new metallic white appears a lot whiter than the flat one - having parked my Spyder next to a friends new GTS mine looked quite creamy...

POST 62Original post

Looks like mine will be unique as Dark Blue Metallic doesn't have any fans on this thread!

POST 63Original post

no I like dark blue metallic, but I am being cowardly about ordering it - go for it.

POST 64Original post

going to dealers tomorrow to look at a boxster in dark blue metallic, then confirm the colour

flow99 said: going to dealers tomorrow to look at a boxster in dark blue metallic, then confirm the colour I was going to go for dark blue until I saw a 991 GT3 in that colour, I felt it was too dull and didn't contrast well with the black features.

I like the fact the black features become more discrete, but colour still a good contrast to the platinum finished wheels

For anyone thinking of metallic white, does look good https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqIMj3jliDE

POST 68Original post

Has anyone tried to get an insurance quote on the vehicle yet? I've tried a few companies and the car isn't on their systems yet...

POST 69Original post

My GT4 has a completion date of 23rd June, not showing any delay for the buckets... yet....

POST 70Original post

Re: Dark blue Metallic - I've ordered it. The thinking man's colour. Or so I thought, but having second thoughts... There are a few pics on the GT4 Colours thread but they are non-distinct and a couple on the GTS thread. It's definitely not a popular choice. I've just seen a few GT2s pictured in DBM on the personalised number plate thread as well. I may go over to the dark side - black / satin black but I'd like to see some proper GT4 DBM pics first to help make a decision, so do please share.

A few leather bits and bobs and Sport Chrono added. I think Sport Chrono is a waste of money but my partner likes the look of the clock on the dash! http://www.porsche-code.com/PGJJV5V4

Heres mine. http://www.porsche-code.com/PGUAPG12 It will have some form of decal on it as well. But probably after it's had paint protection film on it. Unless you can put PPF over the top of decals? Anyone know if that is possible or advisable?

its amazing what people tick on cars, I keep thinking I must be mad to tick a £800 stitching option I would not spend £800 that easy on any thing else. In fact I am a tight bugger.

so a quick read through of this thread..seems every person has ordered the buckets ?
