Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Yep, have used Capital One before and they are very good.
Leading evidence: 'Use capital one' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'similar rates' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check before making a decision' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
I don't know if it is better, good or bad but it might be worth a last minute check before making a decision.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just the couple of rumors I've heard from this board. Already have a loan setup for when mine arrives, but haven't rulled out any other possibilities at this point.
My dealer says they will release the financing program after january 1. Capital One has 5.65 over five years. Just go to captial one online and fill out the form. They will send you a blank check to write to your dealer.. Super smooth program
Yep, have used Capital One before and they are very good. Don't forget about
eloan.com
either, they actually seem to be more aggresive in getting the best rate now-a-days.
Russ. It's great to hear that you have a good relationship with your salesman. We look forward to hearing back from you about these financing packaging.
OOPs, forgot to tell ya, we did not belong to the credit union when applying but after loan approval did have to join and that was a 1 time $10 fee for the account.
Chuck,
I did the smae thing at my credit union. This was about 4 month ago, but I got a 4% 3 year loan on my BMW. Which my bank couldn't touch. I had to buy 1 share of the CU stock to join.
Russ
I found that it definitely paid to ask every financial institution about their rates. That way you will get the best deal to be had. Spent a few hours on the phone & online but it all paid off in the end.
I can't wait to see what Porsche is going to offer, I do hope they can do as well as my credit union because I have heard that thier financedepartment is first rate.
Russ
My dealer told me that I would be able to do much better at my bank over Porsche, so that is when I started making the phone calls. Now I am awaiting that 15 days 19 hours ?? minutes to put it all to great use!!!
I was told today that Porsche was going to have a 'special' Cayman financing plan near launch date. I don't know if it is better, good or bad but it might be worth a last minute check before making a decision.
In about 10 minutes I should know something. My dealer told me that he would have all the details of Porsches financing plan today. I just called and he said he would talk to the manager and call me right back. We will see!!
Russ
YUK! I just got the 'special Package' from Porsche Financing, and it stinks. On a 48 month lease the residual is 47% with a money factor of .00360. That is no special. I will be shopping unless someone else comes up with something different from Porsche. He did say that Chase might have something better to offer. It will be interesting to see if anyone get something different from their dealer.
Aloha Russ
Russ I don't think that is the soon to be annouced 'special'. I think that is the old deal but who knows. I bet local rates are going to be better anyway. My guy swears that the Cayman deal is not out yet. Or perhaps it is not supposed to be out?

SF,
I hope you are correct. I was surprised when he said he would have the rates today. I did question him as to whether these rates were from Porsche and he said yes. I guess we will wait and see.
Russ
BTW, I didn't post the 36 and 39 month rates, the residual and money factor were worse. The more I think about it this cannot be the special package. I think I should just call Porsche finance direct on Tuesday myself.
Russ
Automotive News (the Dec 19th copy) just shows special finance (purchase) rates of 5.5 to 6.5% for 911, Boxster and Cayenne as part of their 'Customer Incentive' sidebar they publish in the tabloid. Would suspect similar rates for the Cayman.
I did a 4 year lease with Porsche on my 99 Boxster and the residual was 12K more than the car was worth retail (not wholesale which was more like 18K) in 03. The high residual made the lease very attractive. I would be very surprised to see higher than average residuals from Porsche leases anymore after their past experiences.
Porsche has not released any 'special' financing on Caymans. I seriously doubt they will do so either.
Porsche Financial Services is competitive with other financial institutions, but rarely the absolute lowest you will find. That being said, I encourage you to finance with them though. They often have incentives for customers whom have vehicles financed with them already, as a token for customer loyalty. In addition, they allow higher insurance deductibles than other financial institutions and allow you to extend leases month to month if you are committed to purchasing another Porsche.
When you account for excellent customer service and flexible financing options I would not consider financing elsewhere.
Best regards.
